First off, that explosion animation is very cool. Feeling very inspired! I found myself playing this game longer than other games from this jam because I really wanted to make it further into the game to hear more of the awesome music! Great job, I'm gonna try to beat my new record of 35 now 8]

Banging music, great idea for the theme and i'm a fan of the 8 bit art. You hit the simplicity category right in the head.

Overall I love the game, and it is especially amazing considering it is your first. I love the concept, and the music is fantastic. The art style is fantastic as well. Also, thank goodness you did webGL.

I do however, feel that the game is too difficult for a jam entry (balancing is hard in a first jam game), the buttons don't fit with the theme of the game (you can change the sprite to just be a square rather than background), the wrapping is kind of disorientating (especially considering the enemy doesn't but their bullets do).

This is just opinion on my part, but the game feels more like it becomes dealing with the orange guys and do the little bit of effort required to avoid the red bullets. I don't even see how this can be fixed.

And looking back at the title I just realized that you capitalized A and I. The A being capitalized is normal, and the just stands out until you realize. Its still a fun little addition.

EDIT: I tried the close button, and you know close doesn't work that good with a game built into the website, right?

Thank you for the feedback! I did think the game might be a little too hard but it gets harder over time and I wanted to avoid the game being too boring during the beginning. Also I don't really know why I added the quit button I'm probably going to remove it. Glad your overall experience was fun though and I am eager to continue making more, better games!

No pressure or anything, but would you mind looking at my game?
